Set up by award-winning architect and interior designer “Sandesh Prabhu” of Sandesh Prabhu Design Studio and “Alita Lobo”, with her expertise and experience at a leading home furnishing firm, it was their shared vision to create an elegant, unhurried space where home decor enthusiasts could linger over unique pieces, explore a range of possibilities to give expression to their emotions when decorating their space, and slowly fall in love with their dream decor that would take pride of place in their homes.
They spend countless days working with local artisans to craft and even restore timeless pieces, scouring vintage stores, using reclaimed wood to create one-of-a-kind decor and enhancing solid old pieces of furniture with a contemporary aesthetic, to bring some of India’s most beautifully hand-crafted and unique pieces of furniture to you. Every piece tells a story. Every item makes a bold statement.
With patience and love and a discerning eye, they worked their creative magic on a 150 year old Goan-Portuguese heritage bungalow nestled in the picturesque village of Assagao in North Goa, transforming it into an open, airy 4500 square foot treasure trove, retaining its old world charm with its Mediterranean-style tiles, traditional pitched roof and oyster-shell windows for visitors to experience the classic and timeless ambience of Pink Elephant Home and explore room after room filled with stunning treasures.

Sandesh Prabhu, a well renowned Architect and Interior Designer, set up his creative firm Sandesh Prabhu Design Studio in 2005 wherein he designs and executes for an exciting roster of clients including leading cricketers, actors, builders, industrialists and more. Having his ingenious expertise and experience in house will be of superlative benefit to customers and the brand.
Alita Lobo, well versed in the retail world having worked in PR, Advertising and Merchandising with a leading home furnishing Company, Alita, is a self-described design aficionado. “Your home should tell the story of you are and be a treasury of what you love”.
Both of us have worked closely together for over 15 years. We share a deep love and passion for everything related to Home & Lifestyle. Our shared Goan lineage led us to start this journey together with dipping our toes in the Goan sea.
